The E4D Labworks system, powered by DentaLogic software, uses data gathered by stand-alone scanning technology or received from the practice via the E4D Dentist Intra-Oral Digitizer to accurately generate a real 3D virtual model on screen. Taking occlusal affect of the opposing and adjacent dentition into consideration, the software automatically designs up to 16 anatomically contoured teeth simultaneously, placing the restorations in a preferred and appropriate position The units Autogenesis (morphing) software displays the complex occlusal scheme in an intuitive format that provides the technician with basic knowledge of dental anatomy and occlusion. Using an array of virtual tools, the technician then modifies and customizes the restorative design while the software automatically readjusts all parameters based on changes made by the operator. When complete, the design data is electronically transmitted to the benchtop CAM unit for milling the full-contour restorations from ceramic or composite material. The technician completes the final restoration using conventional ceramic layering or stain and glaze techniques.
