Tru-Pan, reportedly the industrys first one-click volumetric pan, uses a proprietary program with auto-arch detection to efficiently deliver panoramic views from 3D scans. The digital pan processes hundreds of axial slices of the entire jaw, then identifies landmarks to determine the patients unique anatomical focal shape. The system works within the manufacturers i-CATVision 3D imaging software to deliver precise, anatomically correct panoramic imaging. The manufacturer calculates time savings of about 12 minutes per scan over manual arch detection methods that, at five scans a day, can capture nearly an hour of extra clinical time.
