Ackuretta Introduces ALPHA AI 3D Slicing Software

Article

Featuring several upgrades from the company's previous 3D software, ALPHA AI offers a streamlined process to guarantee success and eliminate human error.

Ackuretta ALPHA AI Software

Dental 3D printing company Ackuretta is launching its new artificial intelligence (AI)-assisted software, ALPHA AI. The new 3D printing slicing software is an evolution from the company’s ALPHA 3D software and includes several improvements, according to a press release from Ackuretta.

ALPHA AI offers a streamlined process to guarantee success and eliminate human error. Users simply import an STL file on the software, click on the icon for the desired application, and start printing in seconds, according to the company.

Up to 75% of 3D printed applications result in failure due to poor orientation, Ackuretta CEO Ayush Bagla said in the company’s statement. This is due to the learning curve with 3D printing, and inexperienced users may make several mistakes, including choosing the wrong parameters, using the incorrect resin, and more, he said.

“ALPHA AI comes to solve that exact problem. It uses machine learning to analyze data from thousands of real designs and comes up with the optimal orientation for a given application, including adding the necessary supports,” Bagla said, according to the press release.

ALPHA AI will allow users to orient an application, add the necessary supports, and save it as an i3dp, ibf, and STL file. Users can also configure the print they want on ALPHA AI—such as placing it with the right orientation and adding supports—and export the STL file to use on any other 3D printing CAD software.

At launch, the software will be capable of orienting and creating the supports for splints, crowns, bridges, and surgical guides, with Ackuretta promising consistent updates every 3 months to add new features and functions.

ALPHA AI is available in 2 versions: Standard and Premium. The Standard version of the software maintains the original features from ALPHA 3D with an improved UI/UX and includes a 14-day free trial to test the upgrades included in the Premium version. After the trial, you users can upgrade to a 30-day or 365-day subscription to the Premium version.
