Myerson recently announced its acquisition of the Dentivera milling disc product from Solvay Specialty Polymers.

The milling discs are made from Ultaire AKP, an aryl ketone polymer that was designed to serve as a biocompatible, lightweight alternative to metal. In the acquisition, Myerson also acquired an exclusive license to the Ultaire AKP trademark in the dental industry.

The Dentivera discs can be used to mill frameworks for partial dentures and other substructures traditionally fabricated from metal. The Ultaire AKP materials is rigid but offers enough flexibility to provide proper function in the mouth.
